A ballroom dancer since childhood, Glenn Badham brings a unique perspective to his works with rhythm and repetition. Remarkably, he has done an entire series of ‘Dance Paintings’ wherein the dynamic energy of motion and the passionate involvement of the dancers brings life to his oeuvre. Spanning over 25 years, Glenn is a contemporary British artist specialising in oil and other mediums.

Glenn uses a synthetic palette to create bold and bright visions of experiential and surreal worlds. From sketching to materialising it into a full-fledged oil painting, his work explores the dynamic interaction between the natural world and human beings and their constantly evolving relation. Colours form a vital part of his expressive palette. He uses bright, bold colours that take a dip into psychedelic feel.

Glenn’s paintng is strongly influenced by 18th-century British landscape painting. Like a philosophical dialogue between nature and human beings, they seek to recreate a realm where the two co-exist in a certain symbiotic harmony. In that sense, he is also harking back to a romantic nostalgia of the earlier times when humans and nature were not in struggle or conflict.

Glenn Badham’s technical vocabulary is inspired by fractal geometry drawn to cycles and synthesis in the process of natural rock formations, the rolling form of clouds, or the foliage of trees.

Apart from being an expert ballroom dancer, Glenn has exhibited at many solo exhibitions across the U.K. His works have also been a part of many art fairs in the US and the U.K.
